Information
Aims, contents and method of the course
In the course Seminar für die Schulpraxis II (accompanying the school practice) the students deal with their tasks and activities as future teachers in school in a preparatory as well as reflective way. They expand and consolidate their competences in the field of observation, planning, implementation and reflection of teaching chemistry. The aim of the seminar is the acquisition of subject-related planning and analysing skills. To achieve this goal, the use of various methods - including chemistry-specific-methods such as experiments - and media will be discussed for use in the classroom. In addition, students become acquainted with the possibilities of documenting and reflecting on lessons and are accompanied by the creation of a portfolio for school practice.
Assessment and permitted materials
In addition to the regular and active participation, the students deal with the documentation and planning of lessons. For this purpose, they prepare a detailed lesson observation and plan a lesson taking into account the 5E model and carry it out in school practice. Both achievements are reflected in an individual final discussion at the end of the seminar considering the contents of the seminar and their experiences in the school practice.
Active participation, lesson observation, lesson planning and final discussion must be provided in time and positively assessed.
