Gruppe 2: Mittwochs 13-15, Seminarraum 5 der AECCs, Porzellangasse 4, Stiege 2, 3. Stock

Information
Aims, contents and method of the course
This course gives an introduction to the fast developing science of didactics in chemisty. Several aspects e.g. Students' Preconcepts, Conceptual Change, Competences in Science, Didactical Reconstruction, Lesson Planing and others will be discussed. The main focus is chemistry teaching and the barriers for a basic understanding of chemistry. Students will design mikro-teachings focussing on one selected area of school chemistry. Mikro-teachings will be discussed within the group.
Assessment and permitted materials
The assessment consists of the following parts:
1.) active participation
2.) analysis of research articles and online tutorials
3.) analysis of teaching material
4.) microteaching including preparation and all materials
5.) final reflection

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
Regular and active attendance, submitting the required contributions on time, positive assessment of every part (1. to 5.)
