Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

Using selected examples (e.g.: atomic shell, chemical bonding, amount of substances, protolysis, redox, chemical equilibrium, isomerism, types of organic reactions….), which will be presented before by the participants, scientific and didactic traps will be discussed carefully. The lecturers will present ways of solution and will work out solution strategies for these chapters together with the participants.

Assessment and permitted materials

Evaluation: compulsorey attendance>75%, evaluation of current cooperation, presentation of one of the stumbling block topics

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

The future teachers should be able to teach scientificly correct and didacticly smart and thereby avoid or remove stumbling blocks for their students in teaching chemistry.

Examination topics

Lectures using powerpoint-presentations; discussion and working in groups
