Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

Work in the practical course is carried out as part of ongoing projects in the research group (see www.univie.ac.at/rg_lindner). Emphasis will be laid on the application of chromatographic methods for analysis and/or preparative isolation of bioactive compounds. For this purpose use of modern and tailored separation materials may be required, which are synthesised within the research group. Besides, the practical course should give students an insight into bioanalytics based on HPLC hyphenated with mass spectrometry. Working directly with analytical instruments should provide training with particularly practical orientation. For that reason students are usually admitted individually.
