Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

Basics of aquatic ecotoxicology. Selected chapters on the properties of toxic substances in the environment and in biota. Joint and guided reading of scientific articles in the field of ecotoxicology. Weekly an article or chapter of a book is read by all participants and discussed in the group.

Assessment and permitted materials

For the evaluation the following criteria will be used:
written test on the content of the lectures
participation in discussions
oral presentation of a selected paper
one page abstract (font-size 12, line spacing 1.5) of the paper

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

For the seminar part: 75% attendance must be fulfilled ( accounts to a maximum of 2 courses missing)
For the evaluation the following criteria will be used:
Written test on the subject (25%)
presentation of the presented article (25%)
quality of the submitted abstract (25%)
taking part in the discussion (25%)

Examination topics

Sufficient knowledge of the content of the lecture and your own presentation are required to complete the course successfully.
