Information
Aims, contents and method of the course
Participation in a current research question of the theoretical biochemistry group at the Institute for Theoretical Chemistry. Possible topics include: (1) Prediction of the structure and dynamics of RNA molecules (2) Design of functional RNA molecules (3) Study of the structure and dynamics of chemical reaction networks. Students will apply in-house developed software packages and implement small programs in a scripting language.
Assessment and permitted materials
evaluation of the personal performance, the end report or the contribution to a publication.
Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
Basic experience with Linux is helpful.
Examination topics
Overview of the research field of theoretical biochemistry and it's computational methods .
Reading list
Required reading materials will be provided during the exercise.
