biopolymers, the dynamics of conformational changes as well as the
mechanisms of structure formation. Two classes of biopolymer
molecules will be discussed: nucleic acids and proteins.Special emphasis is laid on theoretical principles and concepts. It
will be focused on secondary and tertiary structure prediction of
nucleic acids and proteins. Mathematical basics are presented to
describe and computationaly analyse tertiary structures of
biomolecules. Furthermore, the priniple of "Molecular modeling" and
"Implicit solvent" methods are discussed. Computational methods based
on RNA secondary structure and their application in the simulation of
folding dynamics are depicted. All theoretical basics are explained on descriptive examples.
