Aims, contents and method of the course
We are delighted to welcome you as first year students of our bachelor study programs at the faculty of chemistry! The welcome lecture “This is how it works in the Bachelor programs” will take place on the 1st of October 2025 at 09:30 in the Carl Auer von Welsbach lecture theatre!During our welcome lecture you will receive valuable insights into studying at the faculty of chemistry. We will give you an overview of the structure and some special features of our master study programs, and introduce must-knows for beginners such as details of the courses of the first semester, organisation of your schedule, enrolling into classes, recognition of courses from other universities etc.Furthermore, you will get to know the faculty contacts for questions regarding studying chemistry such as the head of the study programs, the Study Service Centre and the student representatives.The student representatives of chemistry will deliver some insights into their work and the possibilities of students to socialise at the faculty. In addition, they will introduce you to the Erstsemestrigen-Tutorien.Attending the Welcome lecture is a crucial step for a successful start into your studies. Please do attend!
