Aims, contents and method of the course

Contents: Basic methods of making nanoscale structures, relevant material from quantum mechanics and solid state physics, concepts of electron transport in nanoscale structures, electronic devices based on individual molecules, superconducting nanodevices, nanoscale imaging: scanning probe microscopy, nano-bio related topics, nanolithography with self-assembled monolayers, nano-electrochemistry, scanning probe techniqhes in nano-electrochemistry, nanotube technologies, aperture-less scanning near-field optical microscopy, femtosecond-laser-induced interface reactions, biomimetric nanotechnology, laser-induced phase transformations.
