Aims, contents and method of the course

The lecture includes the following topics:
Refreshing lab safety
Refreshing fire safety
Use and disposal of lab chemicals
Glassware and reaction setups
Drying of solvents and gases
Handling of gases (gas supply, working with reactive, inert and liquid gases, etc. )
Vacuum techniques (vacuum pumps, manometers, working under vacuum, etc. )
Schlenk techniques

Assessment and permitted materials

written exam (open questions and reaction apparatus drawings, calculator is required)

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

maximum achievable points in the written exam: 100

grading scheme:
0-50 points - Nicht genügend (5)
50,5-62,5 points - Genügend (4)
63-75 points - Befriedigend (3)
75,5-87,5 points - Gut (2)
