Information
Aims, contents and method of the course
Separation of sample components in a "virtual laboratory" by GC, HPLC, CZE and MEKC. Selection of the analytes from a pool of several hundred compounds. Realistic simulation of the analytical results, based on the models of selectivity and peak efficiency of the individual separation methods. Choice and adjustment of the instrumental parameters like kind and dimension of the separation column, phase system, background electrolyte, temperature, gradients, detectors etc.
Assessment and permitted materials
Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
Application of different high performance separation methods - capillary GC, HPLC, capillary zone electrophoresis (CZE), micellar electrokinetic chromatography (MEKC) - by realistic computer simulation ("virtual laboratory"), by modifying and adjusting relevant experimental parameters and variables.
Examination topics
Kapillar-GC, HPLC, Kapillar-Zonen-Elektrophorese (CZE), Mizellar-Elektrokinetische Chromatographie (MEKC)
