Classes

Takes place on Wednesdays from 14:00 to 14:45h online.
The first date will be Wed 3 March 2021.
The last date will be Wed 30 June 2021.
Face-to-face classes are prohibited unfortunately. Therefore, we will communicate via Moodle with the "Collaborate" programme.

Aims, contents and method of the course

Introduction into nanotechnology, the principles of the interaction between short laser pulses and condensed matter, nanooptics, and nanolithography.

Assessment and permitted materials

Cooperation, oral presentations, oral examination

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

100 points can be achieved. These are divided into:
• Cooperation: 40 points
• Oral presentation: 60 points
• or oral final test: 60 points

The scores are awarded according to the following scheme:
• 1 (very good): 100 - 91 points
• 2 (good): 90-81 points
• 3 (satisfactory): 80-71 points
• 4 (sufficient): 70-61 points
• 5 (insufficient): 60-0 points

Examination topics

Fundamentals of nanotechnology and the interaction between short laser pulses and condensed matter. Transfer of theory and models to laser nano- and micromachining processes.
