Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

Chemico-physical parameters of surface waters: for example the Danube River and adjacent water bodies.
Environmental sampling methodology. Field measurements of environmental parameters. Water analyses: flame-AAS, TOC-TN measurements, photometric methods (cations and anions), wet chemical analyses for oxygen content and acid-binding-capacity.

Practical laboratory work is combined with seminars and discussion groups.

Assessment and permitted materials

Assessment based on practical work and written protocols, final oral examination.

Examination topics

Kenntnis der im Praktikum erlernten Methoden und grundsätzliche Bedeutung der gemessenen/analysierten Parameter.
