2) Defining criteria for good chemical instruction
3) Building a positive and self-confident image and style of teaching

5) Ability to adopt chemical instruction to the individual needs of the students (age, interests, abilities, type of school, etc.)

Examination topics
Different topics have to be treated by the students and presented in the seminar. Furtermore in order to perform classroom experiments made by the pupils themserves there is an excursion to a highschool. The pupils experiments have to be prepared an applied by the students.

News on chemistry in the mass media (newspapers, TV, etc.) - Use of different media in chemical instruction (text books, videos, CDs, DVDs, world-wide web) - sitting in on classes, observing and analyzing lessons - recent topics and problems in chemical didactics - reading of journals on chemical didactics - questions on basic concepts of chemistry and chemistry teaching
Requirements for admission: 1st section of study course "Lehramt Chemie"
Handouts will be provided by the students for their contributions
Marking (IP): regular attendance required, active participation in the discussions during seminar, handouts
Admission restricted to 8 students
