Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

Selected class room experiments for chemistry teaching

will be prepared and presented in front of the other students. During the presentations the chemical and didactic background as well as experimental details of the experiments will be discussed.

Assessment and permitted materials

Quality of preparation and presentation of class room experiments, cooperation, final closing discussion

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

- Autonomous planning, preparation a presentation of classroom experiments
- Ability to lecture and doing experiments at the same time
- Knowledge about optimized presentation techniques
- Optimization of classroom experiments
The presentation at 9 out of ten sessions and a successful final discussion is required for a positive degree.

Examination topics

The students have to prepare experiments associated to the respective themes. Selected experiments have to be presented. A detailed discussion within the group follows.
