Aims, contents and method of the course
Compulsory Course of the optional module group Organic chemistry (Master in Chemistry), which can be assigned to moduls OC-1, OC-2, OC-3, OC-4, or OC-5.
Assessment and permitted materials
Assessment: (IP): seminar talk and regular participation
Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
Progress in planning and performing of a scientific talk.. Discussion of recent advances in the field of organic chemistry as extracted from primary and secondary literature.
Examination topics
In the course of this seminar each student has to work out and present a seminar talk(30 min) about a topic based on recent organic-chemical literature which thereafter iwill be discussed (10 min). Within this seminar course also the results of the students' reseach projects of the "advanced laboratory courses of organic chemistry" are presented.Time table: will be held during both the winter and summer term (Semester) ; Duration: throughout the term, once a week (2 h)Assessment: attendance (more than 80% required) and performance in the seminar talk and discussion
