Aims, contents and method of the course
aspects of sample pretreatment, labeling strategies, chromatographic and electrophoretic techniques for biopolymer separation (HPLC, HPCE, slab-gel-electrophoresis, electroblotting), mass spectrometric techniques for protein sequencing and analysis of post translational modifications, glycan analysis.
Assessment and permitted materials
Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
Discussion of modern strategies in the analysis and characterization of peptides, proteins, glyco-proteins, glyco-conjugates and nucleic acids. Main attention is directed to chromatographic, electrophoretic and mass spectrometric methods.
