Information
Aims, contents and method of the course
During this laboratory course students will generate multidimensional data sets e.g. by the means of spectrometric methods or sensor arrays. These will be the basis for getting to know different multivariate data analysis techniques, such as e.g. neural networks, PCA and cluster analysis. In the field of gas sensing, data can additionally be referenced by GC-MS.
Assessment and permitted materials
Evaluation: experimental work (50%), quality of protocols (25%), final examination (25%). Passing threshold 75%, above that linear scale.
Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
Practical knowledge of basics in multivariate data analysis with MatLab.
Examination topics
