Aims, contents and method of the course

An overview of current developments in the field of mass spectrometry-based analytics is given. Both new technologies (ionization techniques, analyzers) as well as sample preparation procedures prior to mass spectrometric analysis will be covered. A particular emphasis will be given to the different requirements of MS in industy and academia. The analysis of both small molecules and proteins will be presented in detail.
