Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

Modulziele: Die Studierenden kennen die grundlegenden Prozesse, welche das System Erde in seiner Entwicklung geformt haben und gegenwärtig noch aktiv sind. Sie verstehen die dynamische Wechselwirkung zwischen Erdkern, Erdmantel und Erdkruste, welche die Grundlage der Plattentektonik bildet. Sie wissen über die räumliche Verteilung und die zeitliche Entwicklung von Gesteinsarten und Rohstoffen Bescheid. Sie sind vertraut mit den wichtigsten Abschnitten in der Entstehung der Erde und des Lebens und können wesentliche Stoffkreisläufe erklären. Die sind zudem mit dem Einfluss menschlicher Aktivitäten auf der Hydro- Atmo-, Kryo und Biosphäre vertraut, welche zur Umweltverschmutzung und Klimawechsel beitragen.
