Aims, contents and method of the course

Climate is characterized by the combination of diverse parameters (temperature, precipitation, wind.....). Using information from sediments, fossils, biomarkers and stable isotopes, it is possible to reconstruct the climate of the past. The possibilities and limitations of the various methods will be discussed by means of case studies.
