Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

Global trends and renewable energy as well as conventional energy sources of natural gas, petroleum, and coal are discussed. Students know the conditions and processes on which geo-energy such as geothermal and hydrogen and alternative energy sources and sustainable renewable geology such as carbon capture and storage and the formation of hydrocarbon reservoirs and coal depend. They know the conditions and processes that lead to the deposition of reservoirs for, favor the preservation of sustainable resources and lead to their maturation in sedimentary sequences. Properties of reservoirs and methods of exploration become familiar.
