Information
Aims, contents and method of the course
Modulziele: Absolventen und Absolventinnen dieses Kurses haben vertiefte Kenntnisse über geochemische und biogeochemische Prozesse und Mechanismen, die eine zentrale Rolle im Erdsystem und der Umwelt innehaben, wie z.B. Auflösung und Mineralneubildung, Austauschreaktionen und Redoxreaktionen. Die Studenten verstehen die chemischen Mechanismen dieser Reaktionen, ihre quantitative thermodynamische und kinetische Beschreibung und die biologische Katalyse dieser Reaktionen. Sie verstehen den Zusammenhang zwischen molekularen Prozessen und globalen Auswirkungen. Sie können diese Kenntnisse zur Prozessaufklärung und numerischen Modellierung in komplexen Umweltsystemen anwenden.
