Real construction of crystals
Selected chapters on the crystal chemistry of geomaterialsModule targets: The students know the principles of solid-state chemical composition
of crystals, the crystal chemistry of inorganic crystals and their three-dimensional atomic or molecular long-range order. You can independently differentiate between the structural-chemical principles of order and structural topologies, give an overview of the structural variations, display them graphically, and interpret stereochemical characteristics. They know the various characteristics in the real structure of minerals and crystals such as lattice defects, defects, inclusions, and effects lattice defects on important physical and chemical properties. They are able to describe and interpret processes of alteration. Knowledge of the information content of internal textures is imparted.
