Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

Students know about the most important methods to identify and quantify active deformation and understand fundamental seiemotectonic processes and phenomena. They overview recent global plate tectonics and acquire sound knowledge on the active tectonics in the mediterranean and alpine-pannonian-karpatian region.

Assessment and permitted materials

Lecture: 2 written tests with 30 points each (60 points in total)
Field exercises: presentation of results, field book beauty contest (40 points)

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

Theoretical part positive at 31 points (out of 60 possiblke).
Filed exercises positive at 21 points.
Both parts must be positive.
