Aims, contents and method of the course
Basics in fossil and recent mikropaleontological organism groups: Introduction to morphology, systematic, ecology and stratigraphy of benthic calcareous algae, coccoliths, diatoms, dinoflagellats, acritarchs, radiolarians, foraminifers, ostracods, conodonts and other small groups. (exercises)

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
Praktische Kenntnis der im NPI-Teil des Moduls vorgetragenen Mikrofossilgruppen, der relevanten stratigraphischen Leitformen und die Fähigkeit der Zordnung von Sediment(-gesteinen) zu zeitlich-faziellen Ablagerungsräumen.
