Aims, contents and method of the course

ECTS: 2
Excursion to a competition amongst hot air balloonists. During a week a daily expert advice of the balloonists has to be prepared and discussed. Special emphasis is to be drawn to the 3D wind field and the thermal stability of the atmosphere to be able to warn against hazards. After the flight a forecast verification has to be carried out.
