Aims, contents and method of the course

An overview of star clusters (open and globular) in our Milky Way andother galaxies are given. One key topic covered, is the comparison between observations and models. Astrophysical processes like stellarformation and evolution as well as galactic dynamics and kinematics willbe discussed in the light of star cluster research.
