Open Clusters of the Milky Way and the Magellanic Clouds are excellent test cases for many astrophysical theories like stellar evolution. But also kinematic and dynamical models and rather global scales can be studied. The different characterstics of open clusters in the Milky Way and the Magellanic Clouds already indicate the scientific potential of this research area. The widely used data base for open
clusters,
WEBDA, serves as an excellent tool for doing research.
