Aims, contents and method of the course

ECTS: 2
Measurements in the atmospheric boundary layer (ABL) (ground-based in-situ instruments, remote sensing and radiosonde) and their evaluation (turbulence parameter, stability, boundary-layer height). Application of simple models (e.g. Monin-Obukhov theory for the surface layer, slab model for the convective boundary layer, dispersion models for atmospheric pollutions).
