Aims, contents and method of the course

The introduction to digital image processing in astronomy consists of 3 parts: the determination of the characteristic parameters of a CCD using calibration data, aperture photometry of members of a globular cluster on CCD frames and producing a CMD, and finally the acquisition, calibration and subsequent line analysis of a solar spectrum.
