Aims, contents and method of the course
Archaeoastronomy basics, Astronomy in Mesopotamia, Egyptian Calendric Systems and time-measuring devices, Ancient Jewish Astronomy, the Greek Cosmos, Islamic Astronomy, the evolution of mathematical Astronomy during the MiddleAges and the beginning of the Renaissance: the astro-mathematical school of Vienna University, Copernicus, Astronomy in the time of Relevation: Tycho, Kepler, Galilei.
