Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

This is a required course in the Master of Environmental Science curriculum. In order to successfully complete the course requirements, all enrolled students have to prepare a presentation on their thesis work.

Assessment and permitted materials

A presentation needs to be prepared that approximately lasts 15 min if it was held in class. It focuses on the master thesis of the student, whatever the advancement of the work (including the planning stage of the work). Students send in the presentation slides (pdf format) and a written text for each slide. Please limit the text to what you would say during the presentation. Please time the presentation including text and slides to 15 minutes.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

The mark will concern the presentation slides (45%), the text (45%) and approximate planning of the length of the presentation (i.e. not more than 1 slide per minute, concise text) (10 %). Please send files to mario.alvarez@univie.ac.at, to stephan.kraemer@univie.ac.at, and to your advisor

Examination topics

The presentation focuses on the master thesis of the student, whatever the advancement of the work (including the planning stage of the work).
