Aims, contents and method of the course

ECTS: 2 credit points
Absolute gravity: Methods of measurements, construction and function of free-fall gravimeters. Computation, reductions, uncertainties (errors). Application of absolute gravity observations, demonstration of the JILAg-6 instrument.
Relative gravity: Application in fundamental geodesy, the Austrian Gravity Base Network, measurements and adjustment, geodetic reference system, orthometric height system and gravity reductions.
