Aims, contents and method of the course

ECTS: 4 credit points
The set-up of a mesoscale research surface network is discussed. This covers questions e.g. which phenomena are investigated and the scale of them, which station distribution fits best to recover these phenomena, which data logger is suitable and what possibilities do we have to overcome the power supply problem. A target area will be chosen and equipped with several stations to test the theoretical findings.
