This lecture informs about Water in the Universe, the origin of the ocean on Earth, the hypsometric curves, some physical and chemical pecularities of sea water, about sea-ice, bathymetrie, temperature-salinity relationships, currents at the surface, thermohaline circulations, the multilayer global conveyor belts of the sea, some interactions with the Atmosphere, modeling of the ocean circulation, and about effects of ocean to climate variability.
