Aims, contents and method of the course

Introduction to atmospheric transport modelling; Lagrangian_vs_Eulerian; Lagrangian stochastic models; Parametrization of turbulence and boundary layer; parametrization of removal processes, in particular of wet/dry deposition; Introduction to FLEXPART use and applications

Assessment and permitted materials

lecture: written exam
exercises: handing in and discussion of exercises

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

80% written exam
20% exercises

A total of 60% is necessary for a positive assessment.
