Aims, contents and method of the course

The global hydrologic cycle; the hydrosphere and correlations to atmosphere, lithosphere and biosphere; important sections of the hydrosphere: rain water, surface water, groundwater, waste water; dissolved contents of natural waters. Toxic effects of some dissolved organic and inorganic substances.
Planing a water analysis (selection of parameters and sequence of determinations); sampling of water; determination of cations and anions with different methods of analytical chemistry; physico-chemical determinations; organic and biochemical parameters.
