The second part of lectures concerning Vertebrate taphonomy gives a comprehensive overview about important sites. Based on a time fram from the Triassic towards the Late Pleistocene, the history of investigation, site formation processes, prerequisites for the preservation of vertebrate remains, and the importance of single sites are discussed in detail. Comprehensive visual material will contribute to a better knowledge of sites and their contents. The aim of the lecture is to achieve a better understanding for site formation, preservation processes, taphonomic characteristic, variety, and importance of several vertebrate sites.
