Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

In this seminar, we will read and discuss scientific papers on weather and climate extremes in a changing climate. This includes a range of topics from temperature and precipitation extremes to severe convective storms, cyclones, flooding events, etc.
Besides the scientific content, an essential aim of the seminar is to learn how to effectively work with scientific literature.

Assessment and permitted materials

Presentation of at least 2 scientific papers.
Continuous assessment of the participation in discussions.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

60% presentation of scientific papers
40% active participation in discussion
