Aims, contents and method of the course

The excursion leads to important Miocene and Pliocene sites in Northern Newsealand. The recent fauna und flora will be considered as well as the fossil one, to give an introduction into palaeobiogeography and the development of the present ecosystem in Newsealand (6 days)
