- International Treaties in the Areas of Disarmament, Security and Environment and its meteorological aspects
- GEO and GEOSS
- Working in International Organizations
- Application area 1: Meteorological aspects related to the verification of the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty
- Application area 2: Volcanic eruptions and its Impact on international civil aviation
- Application area 3: Nuclear Safety and Security
- Application area 4: The Convention on Long-Range Transport of Air Pollution (LRTAP) and the EMEP System
- Application area 5: The United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change and its Challenges

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

- The students should understand basic aspects of international law with respect to conventions and treaties
- The students should get an understanding of the process of treaty verification
- The students should get familiar with Basic working practices and governance structures of international organizations
- The students should be familiarized with chances and challenges regarding working in international organizations
- The students should get a wholistic understanding of the application examples with regard to the interaction between technical solutions and international processes and procedures
