Aims, contents and method of the course
Aspects of observational methods specifically used in extragalactic astronomy such as automatic object detection and classification, surface photometry, long-slit, multi-slit and integral field spectroscopy are discussed. An observing programme will be planned and executed at the 1.5m telescope facility of the institute.
