With respect to the detailed astrophysical processes playing a role in the context of cosmic matter cycles which are presented in special courses, the astronomical fundamentals and the components participating within these cycles are treated. Starting from stars and interstellar matter, stallar systems like star clausters and galaxies are introduced extending to galaxy clusterns and cosmological structures.
