Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

Introduction to basic astronomical terms and concepts, classification of astronomical
objects, coordinate systems and orientation, telescopes, solar system, planets and stars,
cosmic matter cycle, radiation transfer, Milky Way, stellar populations, galaxies, cosmology

Assessment and permitted materials

written exam at the end of the lectures. first possibility: 28th, Jan., STEOP exam registration at u:space necessary
2nd STEOP exam: probably 18th, Feb.
No permitted materials.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

at least 50% correct answers at written exam

basic summary on powerpoint slides, videos of the lecture will be available
