Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

Exercises are solved to practise and deepen the subject of the accompanying lecture course.

If you have questions concerning the lecture or the exercises feel free to come to the tutorial taking place every friday 1 pm - 2 pm (starting from 4th of March onwards)

Assessment and permitted materials

The assessment is based on written homework, as well as participation and presentations within the exercise classes (presence or online -- depending on COVID restrictions) .

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

• active participation at the exercise classes (at most one absence unexcused!)
• Weekly exercise sheets (three exercises per sheet, 12 sheets) must be solved and handed in online via moodle. For each reasonable solution, students get one point. Within the (online-) exercise class, the teacher can ask students to present their solution. If a student is not able to present an own uploaded solution, all point of the example will be subtracted. In case of absence, the presentation can be caught up in one of the following weeks.
• Students can get up to 4 points for (online-) presentations and participation in class. There is a total of 12*3 + 4 = 40 points.

Grading:
• less than 20 points: 5
• 20 points and more: 4
• 25 points and more: 3
• 30 points and more: 2
• 35 points and more: 1
