Information
Aims, contents and method of the course
The goal of this exercise class is for students to acquire a deeper understanding of the topics of T3 by solving and discussing selected problems. The topics covered in the exercises are based on the material discussed in the T3 lecture.
Assessment and permitted materials
Participants have to solve a set of exercises prior to each session. The exercise sheets can be found on the moodle platform (https://moodle.univie.ac.at)[moodle.univie.ac.at]. Before the start
of the exercise session, students have to mark in a list on the moodle page those exercises that they have prepared and that they are willing to present and discuss ("crosslist" system). At the same time, solutions for each exercise sheet have to be uploaded to moodle.Participants can be selected to present and discuss one of the exercises that they have prepared. Other students who have marked the exercise as "prepared" can also be asked to answer questions.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
In total, 100 points can be achieved:
• 50 points times the ratio of exercises marked as prepared to the total number of exercises.
• 50 points for the quality of presentations and participation in discussions. To pass the course, participants have to accumulate
• at least 50 points overall
• at least half (50%) of the exercises crossed in the “crosslist”If both requirements are met, the grade is determined according to the following scheme:
• 50-62 Punkte: Genügend (4)
• 63-75 Punkte: Befriedigend (3)
• 76-88 Punkte: Gut (2)
• 89-100 Punkte: Sehr gut (1)
