Aims, contents and method of the course

Hard- and software for instrumentation, techniques for high spectral and angular resolution, non-optical astronomy

Assessment and permitted materials

written exam at end of semester

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

Understanding basic techniques and methods for observational astronomy from radio wavelengths to gamma rays. Preparation for own observing programs with ground based and space telescopes. Focus on IR and mm-astronomy and high angular resolution.
