Aims, contents and method of the course

In this seminar, statistical methods, as applied in current astronomical research, will be
presented and discussed. Selection of possible topics: - classification - clustering -
Bayesian model fitting - Bayesian model selection - Sampling methods (e. g. MCMC) -
time series analysis.
