Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

This seminar is aiming at presenting and discussing star formation - rates, efficiencies, energy release by massive stars - in the context of the observed state of the interstellar medium in galaxies and of environmental conditions as well as the applications of star-formation and feedback recipes to numerical simulations of galaxy evolution.
Moreover, the influences of different star-formation modes and feedback effects on the observed galaxy structure and the on numerical models are considered in detail.
